Hello Reception friends, I hope you are all OK

Take a look at what some of your friends have been up to today…

Maja has been having fun in the puddles on her daily walk:

Adam has been reading his bible, learning all about Jesus:

Zoe has been taking good care of her sunflower seed, which is now growing!

Look at how strong Jan is – he has been doing lots of moving and exercise to keep himself fit and healthy at home:

Oskar has been working really hard with his phonics work, remembering carefully how to form his letters correctly:

Well done Reception, every day you amaze me and make me feel so proud to be your teacher. Keep up the great work, I am missing you all lots!

Posted by olops | Posted in Year 3 | Posted on April 30, 2020

Hello Class 3

As the weeks go by it is getting harder for us to keep in contact with each other, especially when we can’t go out to meet up and play. So please make sure you take some time this week to catch up with your friends in class. You could write them a letter or ask your parents if you can face time them.

We are missing you all so much and we think about you every day.

Has anyone got a joke to share?

Mrs Flynn Mrs Walker Miss Horan Mrs Uveges

Aoife has been very creative with her fractions. She baked cakes but used the coloured cases to think about the fractions and quantities.

Ella has been practising her spelling and grammar!

Great work Otis on the cloudy lesson. You handwriting is beautiful.

I really enjoyed reading your diary Otis

Today at school 30.4.20

Don’t forget to ask your grown ups to send me photos.

Miss you all and hope to see you soon.

Good morning children. It is nice to see a little bit of sunshine this morning 🙂

Here is your phonics learning for today…

The digraph of the day is…. ch

sing it with me!

It’s a digraph, a lovely digraph! Where 2 letters make 1 sound.

can you say ch ch ch

We use 2 picture clues to help us write it:

caterpillar and a horse

The phrase we use to help us is:

The horse sneezes when the caterpillar’s hairs get up his nose…. ch ch ch choo!

Can you have a go at writing ch in your books 3 times?

Have a go at reading these words:

chips

chat

chop

chick

Can you write them in your books?

Take a look at my picture:

I can write 2 sentences about my picture:

Look at the chick. The chick is fluffy.

Can you have a go at reading my sentences?

Can you write them in your books?

Phonics challenge: Can you write a sentence with the word chips in?

Great phonics learning 🙂 Give yourself a high five and check the blog tomorrow morning for the next phonics learning!
