Hi Class 1,

While you are completing your schoolwork at home, it is very important to keep up your love of reading. Every day reading is very important, but this can take place in a variety of ways. I have attached a letter to help you with the many ways you can be reading at home. I also found a great website which at the moment is allowing you to access a range of stories for free that your children can listen to at home.

I would love to see photos of the wonderful places where you like to read at home -this could be in your garden, bedroom, on some cushions or even cosied up on your sofa! πŸ™‚

If you need any more help with ideas for reading at home, please let me know.

Hello Class 1!

I can’t believe we are into April already. Together we looked at the months in each season – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Who can tell me what season we are in at the moment? I hope you have had a little go at our fun Science seasons worksheet! What is your favourite season and why?

Take a look at some of the home learning our friends have done! I love that some of you have been baking as well! Joey has made a banana loaf, while Toby baked some cakes. πŸ™‚ I bet they taste wonderful boys.

Joey has also been writing about Kenya – a hot country. Some great facts included πŸ™‚ Toby has also been making an Easter garden ready for Holy Week. He has also watched a documentary about kangaroos ready to write his fact file tomorrow.

I hope you are all having a lovely week.

Good Afternoon Full time Friends and Part time Pals,

Today I played a game with my children that is like bowling. It is called Tin Can Alley. We had to hit the tins and knock as many over as we could with two throws of a beanbag. My Ella won the first game and my Oskar won the second game. I didn’t manage to knock many over! Maybe you could try this game. You could use empty bottles or containers or teddies.

Scarlett has been getting creative making a rocket and had fun hand painting!

We had a great time at school today thinking about The Garden of Gethsemane. We listened to the scripture, wrote out own version and answered some questions about it.

We did lots of art today, thinking about prayer and who we would like to pray for at this time.
