All through June the Wildlife Trust is setting a challenge of Random acts of Wildness for you to do outdoors. It is a way of spending a few minutes with nature each day.
This is your first challenge along with a grid you can fill in each day. Enjoy the sunshine!

Good Morning Nursery Friends,
Well I thought the caterpillars had escaped when I went to check on them this morning!
It is all fine, don’t worry. I found them. They are not wriggling around eating anymore. Look at the photo to see where they are. What are they doing? Do you know what is happening?
So three of the caterpillars have attached themselves to the lid of of the pot and are dangling down not moving!
The smaller black caterpillar is still moving around and coming closer to the lid too. I wonder when he will dangle down the same as the other three?!

Good Afternoon Nursery Friends!
Children the caterpillars have grown even bigger. 3 of them are turning more of a green colour and the other caterpillar is still looking black and seems smaller.
Can you guess what the noise is in the background of the video? You are very good at listening to the sounds around us. It is something that that needs electricity to work. It is in my kitchen. No more clues now. I wonder if you have guessed. Leave a comment if you think you know!

Hi Nursery Friends,
When I came home from school on Friday the Postman brought a very special parcel!
He delivered our new Nursery pets!
That is right caterpillars! There are 4 tiny caterpillars in the pot. One of them has been wriggling around. Can you see that one at the top of the top? Don’t worry it can’t get out because there is a lid on. Hopefully the others will begin to have a good wriggle as they settle.
I know that we can’t all be together Nursery friends, but I will keep updating you, so you can see how the caterpillars change. Wow they are starting to move around more. I will quickly record them now.
Watch the video below.
Can you think of some good names for them? Leave a comment to add your favourite name.
I hope you all have a wonderful half term together. Keep a look out for caterpillar updates on the blog.

Hello Nursery friends,
We are going to practice our blending skills today. Metal Mike with the help of his Robot Dog would like you blend the words and find the matching picture. Remember to listen very carefully. You could say it with me to practice blending the word back together again.
Before you watch the video you need to cut out the pictures and then cut along the dotted line to cut them in half. Now mix them up and you are ready to press play on my video. Pause the video at any point if you need more time to find the two halves of the pictures!
