Challenge Time
Please use scratch online to create a story or game based on your own theme. Don’t forget to use text, changes of costume, animation and motion to help make you story or game the best it can be. The projects will be judged by myself and a coding professional to decide on the top 5 projects. These children will be rewarded with house points.

Yesterday was a great day learning how we can express ourselves safely on the internet. We looked at what our online identity and how this differs to our identity offline. We thought about what our digital footprint is and what we can share to create a positive digital footprint.
The children created avatars on the iPads expressing their identity but without sharing personal information about themselves. They also created footprints of their online activities.
Please encourage your children to talk to you about ways they can express themselves safely online (even if they are not online sharing now, these are great skills for the future)
Well done children, lovely day.

Today was fabulous at the Girls High School. The year 5 Digital Leaders explored a new piece of equipment called Mindstorm.
They worked well as a team and built a robot from scratch.
Then the children had to program there robot to navigate a maze. This took a long time to get right, but the children completed the maze eventually taking the challenging route.
I am very proud of them and they each received a certificate for participating in the day. Well done everyone.
Thanks, Mr Williams
