On Friday 1st May at 11 am, the Nottingham Diocesan Catholic Youth Service is hosting a live quiz and get-together on their YouTube Channel for everyone, whether you are at school or home with your families. There will be live guests, an amazing quiz with prizes and a chance to connect with young people all over the diocese.
Please follow this link to a live You Tube video of The Stations of the Cross, presented by chaplains from across our diocese. It’s live at 12 o’clock today – Good Friday, but you can watch it anytime. Children from all over the diocese have submitted their stations for today’s special liturgy.
Have a happy, safe and Holy Easter. Love to all. xxXXXXXxxxXXX

Today class 2 were on retreat. We had a lovely afternoon thinking about Baptism. We spoke about Jesus’ Baptism and our own Baptisms and all the different signs and symbols we see. We thought about Holy Water and how it washes away our sins. We wrote down the things we want to say sorry for and imagined that Jesus was washing them away. Then we made friendship bracelets to remind us that when you get baptised you join Jesus family and he becomes your best friend. We finished the day with a reflection sheet and blessed each other with Holy Water.

Today our school Chaplaincy Team ‘Faithful Friends’ went over to see our neighbours at CAFOD!
Maggie who works there had just got back from New Zealand so she was telling us all about it and even let us have some of the NZ chocolate biscuits she had brought back. They were very yummy!
We spoke to her about our plans for Advent and she gave us some great ideas for a peace Liturgy we are planning. We said we would invite her over to see it when its ready.

Every Wednesday morning staff gather together for prayer. This morning we prayed to Mary our mother as it is the month of October. We asked for her loving guidance, patience and kindness. We took a moment to celebrate us as mothers, father, aunties, uncles, teachers and TAs and the work we do with young people every day.

Faithful Friends met for the last time this academic year.
It was a chance to say a big THANK YOU for all their hard work over the year and also say a sad farewell to Sam and Alita who are moving on to secondary school. They have been fantastic Chaplaincy Team members since year 3 and we will really miss them.
