Hi Nursery Friends,
This Friday marks the 75th Anniversary of VE day celebrating World War 2 coming to an end. I’m sure lots of you may be preparing tea parties to have in your gardens on your roads. My children have been painting some bunting to hang up. We are going to eat cake and wear something red, blue or white, our neighbours are going to do the same.
Here is some information about it for you, click on the link below.

Good afternoon Class 1 and happy Wednesday! I hope you are enjoying the sunshine.
I am so glad you are really enjoying your Literacy learning about the Gruffalo this week. I have heard many positive comments from your parents and I am super impressed with your work! I can’t wait to see more 🙂 Take a look everyone…

Hello Class 1,
The digraph we will focus on in Phonics today is : wh
Write this digraph in your book.
Have a go at reading these words, they all have our digraph in them:
wheat whisker whirl whack where when
whizz whistle whimper whurp whape whay
Did you spot any alien words? Let me know!
Write 3 real words in your book.
Look at the pictures and sentences. Can you read my sentences? Have a go at writing them by yourselves in your book. Remember capital letters and full stops. You can try to extend with ‘and, so, but, because’
Where is the wheel?
He has long whiskers.
What are you whispering about?
Challenge: what other words can you think of with the ‘wh’ digraph?
Great learning Class 1, well done! 🙂 Look out for more next week!

Dear Class 3,
I hope you and your family are all keeping well and that you are having fun at home.
I am missing you loads and have been thinking of you often.
A few weeks ago I received an e-mail from one of your class mates , it was so lovely to hear from someone from our amazing class, it made me smile so much and gave me a lovely warm feeling in my heart.
This made me think about all of you and what we could all do to keep in touch, so I drew some special hearts just for you, I hope you like them.
What I would now like you to do is draw a heart yourself for your table partner in school. Choose one of the designs above. If you don’t want to draw one of these, just put their name in the middle and colour it in. Then send it back to school and we will forward it to your friend. If you wanted to do extra ones for special friends that is fine I will happily send them as well. Just remember to write their name so I know who they are for.
