We had a fabulous time creating our own pizza planets. Mr Williams came in to help us make pizza dough with flour, yeast and water. Then we manipulated the dough by folding kneading and squeezing . Then we put on our own toppings to create either a red planet like Mars, a yellow planet such as Saturn, or a green planet like Earth.
See the recipe below and have a go at home!
The children had great fun performing to children in KS2 in our very own concert. They showed wonderful confidence and it was evident how their guitar skills have progressed since September. Watch out for our end of Year concert, parents!
Our favourite guitarists: Mr Walters, John Butler and Brian May
Our favourite genre: Electronic, country, jazz and hip hop.

The children created some delicious pizza planets today. We thought about forces we were using when kneading and shaping the dough bases, before loading them up with our favourite toppings. Thank you to the kitchen for baking them in the oven today. Watch out Pizza Express because our pizzas tasted great!! Did you make a red. yellow or green planet? What was your favourite topping?
This is the recipe we used along with a few design ideas if you want to have a go at home.
Our brilliant tennis team played 7 matches each today . They all improved dramatically over the course of the afternoon. One team made it through to the finals in June – congratulations! We’ll look forward to an update in June.
Well done if you are having a go at the questions each week. Look carefully at these additions…..
Today we were working scientifically to investigate craters. Everyone found out about where craters are and how they are created. We had a go making our own, thinking about the size, weight and shape of the impacters ( object). We used a marble, stone, pear and boule, making it a fair test with some interesting surprises. Lots of good ideas from everyone about the forces used. A lot of new vocabulary as well- regolith, lunar, meteorite, asteroid and comet. Can you remember what they mean?
Can you remember the impacter that formed the best crater?

We looked a the Pentecost story and the Good News it brings.
We created dramas and art work and had fun outside in the sunshine doing it!
Then to celebrate the Good News – that Jesus has sent his friend the Holy Spirit to guide us,
we made our own Party Blowers!
It was a great morning, full of joy and of course – GOOD NEWS!
