Class Missionary- Freya Newton
Freya you are always keen to tell us your ideas and join in with class discussions. You have an infectious laugh and we love to see you smile with your friends.
Marcus – Marcus your observational drawing of fruit in a bowl was stunning. You thought carefully about the colours you were using and the shapes of the fruit. Well done!
Otis– You recognise and talk about 3d shapes confidently. You noticed the 3d shape patterns and were able to continue them. Keep this up!
Julia K- Julia you too spent a lot of time and effort looking at the fruit in the bowl and thinking about colours and using a rubbing technique to blend the colours.

We started to make information leaflets to attract people to come to the Dinosaur theme parks that we designed. We had fun designing them and thinking about what would be there.
What do you think would be the best thing about a real dinosaur park?

Class Missionary- Aodhan McFall
Aodhan you are a valued member of our class. The teachers and children enjoy spending time talking with you, especially when you tell funny jokes.

Today we had a retreat day with Frances our school chaplain. We talked about how the holy spirit came to help the disciples spread the good news about Jesus. Each group used drama to retell the story. Some of the children told us to spread the good news in their own language.

This week in art we were weaving wavy patterns and mixing powder paint to make watery designs inspired by Op Artist Bridget Riley. Do you remember what happens to your eyes when you look at her work? Next week we will be looking at work by Hokusai. He was a Japanese artist famous for making woodcut prints. His most well known art is called The Great Wave off Kanagawa. I think this looks like quite a stormy sea to be out in a boat. What is that I can see in the distance? Can you find out anything else about this artist or his work?
