Good Morning Nursery Friends,
I hope you are all well and ready for a new week of learning! We have a new story of the week. I hope that you like this book. It is written by Lydia Monks, she is the author. She does some of the illustrations for Julia Donaldson in her books.
Hopefully you have found some interesting wildlife in your garden or the local area over the past few weeks.
Today it is drawing a map of those interesting features, maybe it is the big tree, the habitat home, the birds nest or the water feature. Try and draw a map or collage it to make it 3D. Ideas below. Have a look at the RHS for their ideas. https://schoolgardening.rhs.org.uk/resources/activity/draw-a-map-of-your-garden
Maybe we will see rainbows in the sky if it rains today, but I wonder how many rainbow colours you can find in your garden. Have a look at your flowers, trees and minibeasts today to see how many you can find.

Good Morning Nursery Friends,
I wanted to share some of the photos I have received and messages from some of our nursery friends learning at home.
Gabrys is very proud of his super tall sunflowers that are growing. He has been doing careful measuring and writing! Well done!
Shea has been completing the creative activities in the home learning packs and made a cocoon and caterpillar. He made a brilliant caterpillar headband!
I wonder if you had a chance to make some of these things. We had great fun making our caterpillar fruit skewers in nursery last week. We added a marshmallow head and then these fruits; kiwi, satsuma, banana and grape! So yummy!!!!!!!!!
I hope you enjoy the video of our butterflies flying away to find a new home in the nursery garden. I hope they find a nice dry leaf to lay their eggs on for more caterpillars to POP out. Keep look out for them. They are black, white and orange. Maybe they will even visit your garden!
Well done if you are having a go at some of the wild tasks. Today you can create a home for your garden friends. One of my boxes is in use now for busy bees and bugs. Remember to ask a grown up for help.
